How to create a journal on Livejournal

Live journal is one of the oldest blogging platforms. It has been serving an online journal website for more than twenty years now. Livejournal also has large user community where in you can share your ideas, knowledge and gel with others.
Setting up a blog may seem difficult for the beginner but there is no stopping once started.  You can either use the free version (suggested for beginners) or upgrade your account for the benefits are many – from pasting adsense to writing paid articles. You can do it all only after account upgrade.

 

Let us briefly outline the process of starting alive journal account

1. Click on the "Create an account" button on the home page of Livejournal.com.
2. Enter your personal details such as name, e-mail, birth date etc,  fill in the captcha and click create  account.
3. Next you are taken to the set up journal quick start page.
4. Fill in the details such as  your hobbies, interests etc.
5. Choose the type of account you want – free account or paid level.
6. On the same page you can choose a journal theme and click on continue.
7. An activation e-mail is sent to your mail id with other details regarding how to go about your journal.
8. On the same page click on ‘Post your first entry’  under what’s next? Box
9. Enter the subject and also your thought in the post text. You can either enter rich text or you can edit the HTML if you are good with it.
10. Add the tags and mood of the post. Select other settings such as allow comments, screen comments and adult content. And then hit post.

And there are you are. Your first post on live journal for the world to read has gone live ?
