You can do one of the below.
a) Go to official wordpress help at the site above.
b) Read a technical but comprehensive way of setting up a wordpress blog at The site wizard
c) Google it out or
d) Read the simple steps given below.
First thing first, you need a web host to set up your wordpress blog. Don’t bother if you don’t want to spend money on it. You can host the site for free at wordpress.org
1) Visit the Wordpress home page and select the 'Sign Up' button to register for a Wordpress account. You'll need a valid email address (that has not been used to create another Wordpress account) to sign up for a new Wordpress account.
2) You are prompted to enter your user details. Duly fill in the form, agree to terms and conditions and click the next button.
3) In the next screen, enter your blog details such your blog title , domain address and privacy. Click next to proceed. Please note that you can change the blog title later but the blog domain remains, so choose carefully. In case the domain is already taken up you are prompted to take a new domain. Act accordingly and click sing up
4) Voila! Your blog is ready. An activation mail is sent to the e-mail address your provided. Click on the link to activate your account.
5) When you log into your newly created Wordpress blog, you'll be taken to your user dashboard. From here, you can change your blog's theme (design), write posts and pages, add users, revise your own user profile, update your blog roll, and more. Take some time to explore your Wordpress dashboard, and don't be afraid to test out the various tools and features available to you to help customize your blog. You will locate a support tab. Make sure you put it to best of use, It is the online help provided by wordpress.
6) On the dashboard panel, click on ‘WRITE’. Enter the title and text for your post, and select the 'Publish' icon to kickoff your blog!
