1. Tell us about your first Blog post
Anshul: First came Skiewpoint, and then in due time came Aesthetic Blasphemy. My first post was, well, a tutorial to have custom wallpaper as folder background (folder and not desktop) on XP machines. Aesthetic Blasphemy is to be a place where I write on anything and everything I know and wish to share.
2. Which is your favourite blog post
Anshul: Its hard to be prejudiced between my own posts as each one was written in a different state of mind. Its equally harder to single out a favourite blog post from the ones I have read anywhere. Still, on the first impulse, I remember two posts because they are true stories of my friends as they narrated it. One is Sloshed and Bitchy by Saurav at Skiewpoint. http://skiewpoint.blogspot.com/2009/12/sloshed-and-bitchy.html
And the other is by Ajay, at his personal blog space, a tribute to certain someone who was agitated after reading it.http://ajaysp.blogspot.com/2009/11/first-sign-of-maddness_25.html
Ah we love leg pulling of those who don't have a heart to bear it.
3. How do you decide what you write on your blog?
Anshul: I don't.
4. Have you ever faced a writer’s block? How did you overcome it?
Anshul: I have a simple philosophy to avoid a Writer's Block. I am not a 'Writer', so I am not supposed to have any of these syndromes.
5. One blogger you think we all should follow
Anshul: Do you want me to be humble? Okay, then first priority is, if you write, follow yourself first. If not, then I am always there on the second slot.
6. What are your achievements as a blogger
Anshul: I manage to write, read, and be read plus I have made good friends.
7. Do you think blogs can help bring about a change
Anshul: In ourselves, yes. On a larger scale, is quite possible, provided that the liberty and freedom to think and write is used sensibly.
8. Do you believe in Monetizing blogs?
Anshul: Of Course, there are a few lines that I like, from Two Tramps in Mud Time:
"But yield who will to their separation,
My object in living is to unite
My avocation and my vocation
As my two eyes make one in sight.
Only where love and need are one,
And the work is play for mortal stakes,
Is the deed ever really done
For Heaven and the future's sakes."
9. Which is your favorite widget
Anshul: Followers Widget.
10. Describe your blog(s) in one line
Anshul: Aesthetic Blasphemy, because Beauty Lies in Knowing!
11. Why should anyone follow your blog(s)?
Anshul: I don't know, it is their kindness that they come and stay.
12. How do you choose the blogs you follow?
Anshul: I believe that everyone has a spark, and I want to admire everything that is original. So except from a few personal blogs, I will gladly follow anything that is creative and original. Personal blogs, well, I am not interested in personal lives, but it is then the language that holds me in some places. A good narration can often grab attention.
13. How do you promote your blogs
Anshul: I read blogs, and I try to give my honest feedback on what they wrote. It's a little like barter system, you read me, I read you. It is more of a desire to read those who read me.
14. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or others?
Anshul: Yes everywhere, but they are personal profiles, so blog promotion there, its once in a blue moon.
15. Do you guest blog?
Anshul: No.
16. One celebrity you would want to guest blog at your blog
Anshul: Never thought about sharing my personal space. I think I'd rather choose a friend with a beautiful write up to any celebrity.
17. Where do you see yourself as a blogger after 5 years?
Anshul: Same place, Aesthetic Blasphemy.
18. If you had to exchange your blog with one person who would that be?
Anshul: No one, I don't quite share a few things.
19. Blogjunta to you is?
Anshul: Blog karne waali dost junta.
20. Your advice/message to all bloggers?
Anshul: You all are fabulous people, believe it, now write! :)
