1. Tell us about your first Blog post

Manish: My first post was on "what is mutual funds" : http://www.jagoinvestor.com/2007/11/what-is-mutual-funds-easy-explaination.html . I wanted to write it in the easiest language possible which can be understood my any one .

 2. Which is your favourite blog post

Manish: my favorite post is "Will nominee get the money after your death ? " : http://www.jagoinvestor.com/2010/10/will-your-nominee-get-the-money-on-your-death.html . Its some thing which people do not know and it comes as a shock to many .

3. How do you decide what you write on your blog?

Manish: Whenever an idea comes to my mind , i jot it down and write about it later . That created a list of ideas . Many a times , people comment on something and discuss a problem too which again gives an idea to write on .

4. Have you ever faced a writer’s block? How did you overcome it?

Manish: Not exactly a block , but sometimes when I am pressed by time , I have to write an article at the last minute .

 5. One blogger you think we all should follow

Manish: Subramoney.com is one of my favorites . It comes from an industry experts .

6. What are your achievements as a blogger

Manish: My writing is loved by many and creating difference in thousands of people’s life . I like that .

7. Do you think blogs can help bring about a change

Manish: Yes . they are platform for common people to show case their knowledge and help other common people .

8. Do you believe in Monetizing blogs?

Manish: Yes , I think its a great way to earn money , but the main focus has to be on providing value to readers .

9. Which is your favorite widget

Manish: I like related posts at the end of the article which have thumbnails .

Manish: A blog which helps you change your relationship with money

11. Why should anyone follow your blog(s)?

Manish: So that they can see how important it is to focus on their financial life .

12. How do you choose the blogs you follow?

Manish: I don’t choose any criteria as such , the only requirement is that it should provide  valuable content .

13. How do you promote your blogs

Manish: facebook , email marketing and through search engine (SEO)

14. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or others?

Manish: nope , only facebook and twitter

15. Do you guest blog?

Manish: yes , sometimes

Manish:I want Monika Halan to guest post on my blog .

17. Where do you see yourself as a blogger after 5 years?

Manish: I want to be looked as the top most blogger in personal finance who cares for investors and what matters to them

18. If you had to exchange your blog with one person who would that be?

Manish: No one

Manish: A platform which is emerging as bloggers friend

20. Your advice/message to all bloggers?

 

Manish: Think Quality , make your readers feel like they are special, reply them !
