1. Tell us about your first Blog post
You: Started blogging in 2003 and my first post was on July 8, 2003. "Blogging" was such a novel idea - wrote anything that came to mind. More of a diary kind of thing - didn't think much - obvious from the blog url, no? But when you type “Going A-Musing” in your address bar now, my blog opens up.
2. Which is your favourite blog post
You: That sticky Issue which continued in Revisiting an old post
- probably because every one I knew read them and thought they were hilarious. There are more…but you only asked for one favorite.
3. How do you decide what you write on your blog?
You: I write three regularly; Going A-Musing is for Sharing experiences, smiles, health tips, how-to's, philosophy, inspiring stories...and taking time to smell the flowers; Your Medical Guide is a health blog and a complete resource for a healthy life; I love you, Mom is a personal blog where I enjoy my virtual kaapi and pretend I am chatting with my Mom… The three are more or less focused.
4. Have you ever faced a writer’s block? How did you overcome it?
You: I usually keep jotting down ideas (yes, I actually use a pen and a spirally bound notebook) so I rarely stumble on the writer’s block. If I do have a problem, I look at my notebooks or think back on an incident that made me happy - or my family and friends for something interesting to write.
5. One blogger you think we all should follow
You: Me? Ha ha! http://lifehacker.com
Great site. My favorite site is http://workflowwriting.com
- it’s a great resource
6. What are your achievements as a blogger
You: I have the privilege of following several fantastic bloggers and the daily learning about various topics is tremendous. It helps me focus and write better. I read all the blog updates I subscribe to regularly, and enjoy the self-improvement and knowledge. Some of my posts were featured in print media
7. Do you think blogs can help bring about a change
You: Certainly. The blogosphere is a force to reckon with. The viral nature of blogging and the ease of sharing content makes it possible to achieve anything. Bloggers are wonderful and friendly people.
8. Do you believe in Monetizing blogs?
You: Not really. I enjoy the pleasure of writing for my readers. If I had a business blog, then the focus would be different.
