Phone Booth : Movie Against Corruption

In its simplest sense, corruption may be defined as an act of bribery or misuse of public position or power for the fulfillment of selfish motives or to gain personal gratifications. At present (year 2011), India stands as 95th most corrupt nation among the 178 countries. This was stated by 'Transparency International', a non-government German Organization. No doubt, it will soon top the list!

Well, this is what the film showcases - 'Corruption'. It's a short documentary film.

  • Movie Name - Phone Booth
  • Made By - Geet Sharma
  • Playtime - 2 minutes 15 seconds.
  • Just an outline - A girl tries to call from a public PCO inserting her 1 rupee coin. After a couple of disconnected attempts, the phone grabs away her coin but with no result. The disappointed and annoyed girl leaves a message beside the phone : "Ye paise khata hai, par kaam nahi karta".
Hope you got it's central idea. In all, the movie followed a regular predictable story line. Well cinematographed with perfect lighting in the moody scenes. It was accompanied by a well structured background music track.
With corruption in India mounting at a rapid speed, all of us should spare some time and watch it! A beautiful message for a social cause. An outstanding and an awesome movie.
