The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo....by the late Stieg Larsson and translated from Swedish by Reg Keeland..engaging story but the writing(or probably the
translation) could have been better. It's a crime thriller and the basis of "The Social Network" fame David Fincher's next movie.

I'm reading The Checklist Manifesto by Athul Gawande.... it can actually make your life more organised !!! A beautiful piece on the importance of not missing out on minor yet critical steps in your life !!!

...and what better way to express that than in the field of Medicine !!!

Inspiring ! :) Just a few more pages left ! An interesting read !

Am reading "Operation Red Lotus" by Parag Tope. This book is the Indian perspective to the Revolt of 1857 and gives a beautiful insight into the effort which went into organizing the revolt, refuting the claim of the British that it was only a Sepoy Mutiny with no clear purpose or leadership.

reading War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, but it's taking too long as I am not being able to give it more than an hour in a day :(
But it's a superb book, brilliant in every respect.

recently also read a light fantasy book titled Valor. Was very sweet, simple and romantic. Loved it.

Does anyone like Nevil Shute? I'm reading one of his books, "A Town Like Alice" and loving it. It is about a young woman inheriting some money and wanting to use it to do good in Malaya in the forties. The Japanese invade Malaya while she is there and take her and other British women prisoner. The story is about her survival and about her young Australian beau who she meets during her years in captivity.

I hope people keep posting here. I hate going to a bookshop and having such a huge choice of books I don't know what to buy. This helps narrow things down. Our individual choices are varied enough to keep things interesting. What would help is if you all post a brief synopsis of the book and your own personal comment (liked/hated etc) after you finish reading it.
